Read current value on subscription and on reconnection

Hello.

You can set up a logic in your code to ignore them (it would be the first update after an error notification), but QuickOPC does not have an option for it. I still fail to see the usefulness of it, because by ignoring it, you can miss important data .

Best regards

Hi,

Is there anyway to ignore the data from this -> 'OPC server that sends updates of all monitored items whenever a subscription'

Thanks & Regards

Hello.

QuickOPC does not read the values upon reconnection. It simply subscribes again. It is the OPC server that sends updates of all monitored items whenever a subscription is made. And it is good to do so. Without it, given that there has been a period when the client has not received updates from the server, after reconnection you would have no way of telling whether you have the right data.

After a reconnection and re-establishment of the subscriptions, there is no special handling on the client side, and QuickOPC does not "create" any extra notifications of its own.

Best regards

Hi,Is there any way to disable the behavior where the OPC UA server sends the current value of all subscribed nodes upon a new subscription or after a reconnection? My OPC UA client is deployed in a rather unstable environment, leading to frequent disconnections and reconnections.
This behavior is causing unwanted notifications and events in my system.
Thanks & Regards,
CL
