Hello.

Please read the part titled Additional Information on  opclabs.doc-that.com/files/onlinedocs/OPCLabs-OpcStudio/Late...%20Instance%20Certificate.html   .

From the error trace, the subject name given to the certificate generator - for the certificate to be later found - should be  CN=Boris/DC=Win11

Best regards

Thanks fot the fast response! Is that workaround mentioned in the QuickOPC documentation? Can you provide the link?

Hello.

This error is not related to just browsing. It has to do with the creation of application client certificate, which is needed for all secure OPC UA communications.

Unfortunately (as I think you mentioned in the email that preceded this post), this error with an old QuickOPC version, and we no longer support it (and the precise cause is not clear in this case; otherwise I would tell you). Newer QuickOPC versions use a different mechanism for auto-creation of client certificates, which is much more robust.

One possible workaround is to create the client certificate manually, and place it in the proper certificate stores. QuickOPC will then find it and use, without attempting (and failing to) create it.

Regards

We are programming in DELPHI with QuickOPC 2021.2. When testing our software under a VirtualBox Win 11 VM an 'OPC UA service result' error occurs when trying to browse an OPC server (the Unified Automation UaCPPServer test server in this case) using the standard browse dialog of QuickOPC (see attached screenshot). The 'View node errors...' option delivers the attached description regarding the certificate generator. Within the Windows 10 VM host itself our software runs without problems.
