With a little of bit simplification, QuickOPC connects to any OPC server.
You need to obtain an OPC Server for Siemens S5 - somewhere else, we do not produce them.

From that point on, you will be able to connect to that server from QuickOPC by specifying its so-called "ProgID", and read/write/subscribe to tags by making the appropriate method calls and specifying OPC "item IDs", provided by the OPC server.

Best regards

Siemens S5 support was created by Dirk
Hi,

I'm currently working on a project involving a Palletiser which is controlled by an S5 siemens PLC. Although this is an old system it does have a Lan connector and RS232 obviously. I'm wondering if QuickOPC supports the S5 and how we should connect to it ?
