"Out of memory" error, and error 80010105

Hello,

Error 0x80010105 is a "hard" error, it means "The server threw an exception." (here the "server" may also refer to the EasyOPC component, not the OPC server).

I still have more questions please:
  1. Did QuickOPC ever worked before on this computer/OS installation?
  2. What operating system are you running?
  3. Is it 64-bit or 32-bit system?
  4. Which version of QuickOPC are you using?
  5. Can you please try connecting to the "kit server" from within the COM-base "Demo" app that ships with the product? What are the results?
Thank you

Zbynek,

1. This seems to be a permanent problem.

2. Yes EASYOPCL is in the process list and the memory consumed is 1500k

3. No difference with terminating the process.

This is only happening at the moment on my laptop (running windows7) but it has been working fine previously

Regards,

J.

J.,

Can you please provide some more details?

1. Is this a permanent or transient problem?
2. Do you have EASYOPCL process (in Task Manager)? If so, how much memory is consumes - the “Memory (Private Working Set)” column.
3. If you have this process, please terminate it (“End Process” in Task Manager), and try again – any difference?

Thank you

Subject: EasyOPC.COM error

Zbynek,

I am having issues with EasyOPC on a new project I am working on for [...]. I have tried old projects and they have the same error. I have been back to basics with a simple read but still have issues.

I have attached a pdf file with the project details, vba code and the error messages. I get the out of memory first then when I debug and continue to run I get the second error message.

Hope you can help.

Regards,

J.
