Yes, as long as their is OPC support in the PLC, or an OPC server for the protocol that the PLC uses, your thinking is correct.

If we are to proceed you need to answer my questions 1, 2, and 3.

Best regards

My intention is having a PLC , program it and be able , via PC , to receive and send data to the PLC.
As I am new to OPC, I think it is what OPC is for.

Thanks for clarification.

But anyway, your question is quite broad. and not clear to me. Let's try top figure out what are you trying to achieve.

1. What type of PLC are you connecting to?
2. Does it have OPC Server built in, or do you connect to a computer (PC) that in turn connects to the PLC?
3. Do you know if it's OPC "Classic" (COM/DCOM based), or OPC UA (Unified Architecture)?
4. Whas is your intent? To show a value from the PLC on a form of your program?

Best regards

I would like to know a bit more about OPC.

For example: I am a Delphi programmer and I´d like to know how I can access a CLP´s adrress (I.0.0 (for example) in a Edit1.text box)

Thank you
