Exceptions
ExceptionDescription

The value of an argument is outside the allowable range of values as defined by the invoked method.

This is a usage error, i.e. it will never occur (the exception will not be thrown) in a correctly written program. Your code should not catch this exception.

Remarks

When this property is set to -1 (the default), the client will determine the maximum number of monitored items in one subscription automatically, using the information provided by the server, or an internal algorithm. In absence of all other information, the maximum number of monitored items in one subscription is not limited (equals to System.Int32.MaxValue). When this property is set to a non-negative number, the client will use the value of the property as the maximum number of monitored items in one subscription.

The client will create more subscriptions with the same parameters, if needed, in order not to exceed the maximum number of monitored items in one subscription.
