'Declaration
<NotNullAttribute()> Public Function GetRoot() As DANodeTreePosition
'Usage
Dim instance As DANodeTreePosition Dim value As DANodeTreePosition value = instance.GetRoot()
[NotNull()] public DANodeTreePosition GetRoot()
[NotNull()] public: DANodeTreePosition^ GetRoot();
Return Value
Because there are implicit conversions from OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.AddressSpace.DANodeElement to OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.DAItemDescriptor and OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.DANodeDescriptor, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use the returned OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.AddressSpace.DANodeElement in any place where OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.DAItemDescriptor or OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.DANodeDescriptor is expected as input, and the corresponding OPC DA item or node descriptor will be constructed automatically from the OPC DA node element. When the implicit conversion operators are not supported (such as with Python.NET), you can use the FromDANodeElement or FromDANodeElement static method instead.
Because the OpcLabs.EasyOpc.NodeElement has an implicit conversion to System.String, in languages that support implicit conversion operators (such as C# or VB.NET), you can simply use the returned OpcLabs.EasyOpc.NodeElement in any place where System.String is expected as input, and the corresponding OPC node Id (OpcLabs.EasyOpc.NodeElement.NodeId) will be taken automatically from the OPC node element.
This method never returns null
(Nothing
in Visual Basic).
