Implicit Type Conversion(DANodeDescriptor,String) Operator

Contains OPC item identifier (empty string for the root or if unknown).

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Converts a string containing an item Id to a DANodeDescriptor object.

Parameters

itemId
Contains OPC item identifier (empty string for the root or if unknown).

The value of this parameter can be null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Return Value

Returns a DANodeDescriptor converted from the input argument.

This method can return null (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

This operator is equivalent to FromString.

This method or property does not throw any exceptions, aside from execution exceptions such as System.Threading.ThreadAbortException or System.OutOfMemoryException.
